The autobiography of the French, Modernist architect and designer Charlotte Perriand. Perriand died in 1999 aged 96 and so her life's memoir covers the whole of the twentieth century. She presents a first hand account of the Modern movement, with details of her career and work alongside other great designers, including Le Corbusier, Jean Prouve and Walter Gropius. Perriand's text also covers her personal life and her travels, including her affinity with the Far East. The illustrations are taken from her own photographs. Scarce in English.
