TERMS & CONDITIONS

Stock

Whilst we endeavour to be as accurate a possible with our stock levels and descriptions, all products are offered subject to prior sale.

If for any reason we are unable to supply a product or there is a discrepancy between the website details and the actual product, then we will notify the customer immediately and, if any payment has already been taken, it will be refunded.

Please contact us before ordering if you would like to double-check availability or product details.

Images of products are mainly scans taken of the actual copy in stock. However, occasionally (if they are very similar) an image of a previous copy is re-used or the image is supplied directly from the publisher. Please contact us if you would like clarification or further images.

See below for information on description and price discrepancies on pre-ordered products.

Pricing & Payment

Prices advertised in currencies other than British Pound Sterling are for customer information only. All payments and invoices will be processed in British Pound Sterling.

Printed books are zero-rated for VAT in the UK. Our VAT number is GB 130 2209 74.  VAT/TVA & other import duties may be applied when purchases are imported into a country other than the UK. VAT/TVA and any other taxes and duties are usually payable, directly to the courier company or local border authority, by the customer when the parcel enters the country. If you would like to know more, please get in touch to find out which tariffs may apply to your order.

Payment can be made using credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro) or PayPal.

We also accept cheques or bank transfers in Pound Sterling. Please contact us for details on how to pay by these methods.

All purchases must be paid for in full before shipping unless you have an approved credit account. Credit terms are settlement within 30 days of the date of invoice.

All items remain the property of the seller until payment has been made in full.

Pre-Orders

The description, image and price of a product that has not yet been released is based on advanced information supplied by the publisher. If the details vary significantly when the product is released we will notify the customer. In the unlikely event that the retail price increases then we may request additional payment accordingly. If the retail price decreases then we will refund the difference. We will not notify the customer if the cover image changes unless specifically requested to do so.

Payment is taken for the order at the time the pre-order is placed, unless otherwise arranged.

We endeavour to be as accurate as possible with the release date. It is based on information supplied by the publisher. Occasionally the release date will be earlier or later than that stated. If the release date does change significantly we will notify the customer.

The customer may cancel the pre-order at any time before shipment and the payment will be refunded in full. If the order has already been shipped then the normal returns procedure will apply (see below).

Shipping

Shipping charges and any relevant import/export duties & taxes are at the customer's expense. Customs charges and import/export duties and taxes may be charged to the customer by their local custom authorities. These charges are usually payable, directly to the courier company or local border authority, by the customer when the parcel enters their country. In many countries printed books are given a reduced rate of VAT/TVA.

In the unlikely event that the shipping charge on the website does not adequately cover the actual cost of the shipping then we reserve the right to request additional shipping charges.

All shipments are insured in transit at our expense.

A free shipping service is offered on all full-priced purchases of £75 and over made directly through the Beaux Books website and sent to an address within the United Kingdom.

Due to unforeseen circumstances there may be the occasional time when delivery takes longer than the estimated date given. We will attempt to keep you as informed as possible if this is the case.

Returns

Purchases may be returned providing we are given written notification of your intention within 14 days of receipt.

Books should be returned by the same or similar method of shipping by which they were sent. We recommend using a trackable shipping method.

The price of the book will be refunded in full upon our receipt of the item in the same condition as you received it. Return postage will only be refunded if the book has been returned because it was wrongly described or damaged in transit. Please contact us with details of what you would like to return and why.
