[Maxime Old]
The scarce monograph on the French furniture designer Maxime Old (1910-1991). Old's life and career spanned the twentieth century, as did his designs. The book illustrates his furniture from the 1930s to the 1980s and, although his style evolved with the times, he remained consistent with his fusion of modern and classical elements and his use of fine and unusual materials. As well as the furniture, his designs for interiors are also included.
