Kasmin's Camera

[John Kasmin. David Hockney]

An album of photographs taken by the art collector and dealer John Kasmin. Kasmin's collaboration and friendship with David Hockney is documented here through personal snapshots. Alongside these are photographs of other artists and creatives with whom Kasmin worked, socialised and travelled, including Bruce Chatwin, Celia Birtwell, Ossie Clark, Helen Frankenthaler, Howard Hodgkin, Leo Castelli. The whole offers a cultural lens on the art world of the latter half of the twentieth century. The book accompanied an exhibition of the same name at the Lyndsey Ingram Gallery, London, 2024.
