A first edition of Nancy Mitford's companion volume to The Pursuit of Love. The novel is again narrated by Fanny Logan but this time focuses on the life, love and travails of her distant cousin Polly Hampton. The eccentric Radlett family modelled on the Mitford parents and sisters are again present. The book is dedicated to Lord Berners, on whom Mitford based her character Lord Merlin.
