[George Platt Lynes]
An album of portrait photographs taken by George Platt Lynes between 1927 and 1955. Many of the portraits are previously unpublished and include images of Gertrude Stein, Colette, Denham Fouts, Jean Cocteau, Edith Sitwell, Ruth Ford, Jared French, Paul Cadmus, Tennessee Williams, W.H. Auden and Thomas Mann. There are also several self-portraits. The photographs are finely reproduced using the sheet-fed gravure method.
