In Decoration - 5 Hicks returns to the general subject of interior decoration. He draws on recent projects to illustrate his ideas on how to create good interior spaces, and uses his own captions to inform the general reader. As Hicks became more established he took on more commercial work, therefore this book includes both private and public spaces (offices and restaurants). The interiors are from around the world. Also evident is the development of the designer's own personal style into the 1970s. As he admits in his introduction, there is a greater interest in pattern. His signature patterned carpets are well illustrated.
