An exploration of the Major Arcana tarot deck created by Leonora Carrington in the 1950s. The tarot cards exhibit Carrrington's Surrealist vision combined with esoteric elements from Buddhism, mysticism, the occult, mythology, witchcraft, and astrology. Each card is illustrated and analysed. The book's text places the tarot cards within the artist's wider oeuvre, and includes an introduction by Carrington's son Gabriel Weisz. A scarce copy of the first edition which sold out immediately.
